Last Saturday, the sun was shining brightly and a gentle breeze blew through the window. My parents and I decided to have a picnic in the park near our home. My little sister was so excited that she put on her favorite white dress and made a cute "V" sign with both hands. Her bright smile was like a little sun, warming everyone's heart.
We brought sandwiches, fruits, and lemonade. Dad set up the tent while Mom laid out the picnic blanket. We flew a kite, played frisbee, and took many lovely photos. When the sky turned orange at sunset, we sat together and shared our dreams for the future. That moment, with my family around me, I felt the true meaning of happiness.
During the summer holiday, I visited my grandma's house. She is famous in our family for making the most delicious dumplings. One morning, she invited me into the kitchen to learn her secret recipe. The flour felt soft in my hands, and the filling smelled wonderful β fresh pork, chives, and a touch of sesame oil.
Grandma taught me how to fold the dumpling skins into beautiful shapes. Some of mine looked funny, but she laughed and said, "The love inside matters more than the shape outside." When we finally tasted them, the juice burst in my mouth. It was the best dumpling I had ever eaten, not because of the recipe, but because of the love we shared while making it.
On my best friend's birthday, we decided to make a chocolate cake together. We melted dark chocolate, mixed the batter, and decorated the top with colorful M&M's. The kitchen was a mess, but our hearts were full of joy. When she blew out the candles, I knew that happiness tastes like chocolate and friendship.
This summer, my family and I visited the Ocean Park. The moment I walked in, I was amazed by the huge aquarium. Colorful fish swam gracefully among the coral reefs, like dancers in a blue ballroom. My favorite was the little yellow fish with big round eyes β it looked so curious and friendly, just like a character from a cartoon.
We watched the dolphin show, touched starfish in the touch pool, and learned about how to protect the ocean. Standing in front of the giant glass wall, watching the fish swim by, I felt so small yet so connected to the beautiful world around me. Nature teaches us that happiness is everywhere β we just need to open our eyes and hearts.
One early morning, we got up before sunrise and walked to the beach. The sky slowly changed from deep blue to pink and gold. The waves whispered secrets to the shore, and seashells glittered like tiny treasures. I took off my shoes and let the cool water wash over my feet. That peaceful moment, with the whole world waking up, was pure happiness.
